Brit and Clay Pregnant

Here's a pic of our bumps, ok so we are sticking out our stomachs a lot, but it's still funny.

On a side note, I had a bad day on Saturday. We took the boat out Saturday afternoon/evening after I spent the day installing some wood floors at the in-laws house. I was really excited to take it out on a nice day of working hard and enjoy some wakesurfing. As soon as we got out, the motor was acting really weird, ended up dying and we were towed back in. I jumped in the water (shoeless) to help keep it off the rocks and get it back on the trailer. I took a step and realized I just stepped on something very sharp. I was just thinking it was a little cut until I got back on the side of the boat and looked at my foot, and could see straight to my bone on the middle toe. Turns out, the cut had actually cut a flexor tendon, and it started to bleed really bad. Luckily Dr. Porter sutured the tendon back together then stitched up my toes. so now I am stuck wearing this stupid foot thing, that looks like a really ugly teva or something.

Young@Heart

Last night Brittany and I were lucky enough to see this movie. It is absolutely amazing. One of the most touching films ever. You will laugh really hard and then the next scene tears will be falling down your cheeks (not mine cause I'm a big tough guy). Seriously such an inspiring movie, I wish there were more films like this. And it's rated PG. Go see it, it's worth the $8. If you are in Utah, it's only playing in Salt Lake at Braodway theaters.

Graduation and .......

I have been waiting and waiting for Brit to give everyone an update but it just hasn't happened so I will step in. I have to remind myself that I did marry a girl that rides the technology short bus but that's okay, I still love her. Well I graduated from Fire academy and received my state certifications as Firefighter1 and Firefighter 2 as well as hazardous materials awareness and operations. It was definitely a bitter sweet moment. I made some good buddies and will miss lighting and fighting fires with them. I just need to get a job now. I have a lot of testing opportunities coming up, and luckily, it seems there are a lot of departments hiring or about to hire.
Me and one of the guys in my engine company (AKA Rex- He has little arms)

I'm not going to lie to you, that's me, slaying a fire.
One word- Unity. haha. I asked the Instructor to make these guys hold hands.

Another shot.

Here's a video I put together at the last minute for the class.

And finally, I know most of you have heard the rumors......Yes Brit is PREGO! Just a little crazy, but we are very excited. She is just over 11 weeks. We were able to hear the baby's heart beat a few weeks ago and so far everything seems healthy. It's a little nerve racking for me, becoming a dad. I don't feel like I am old enough yet but I am very excited at the same time. So any advice is welcome, feel free to comment away.
